Nature

THE EFFECTS OF 6 MONTHS CONTINUED ERUPTIONS OF MOUNT SINABUNG, NORTH SUMATRA, INDONESIA.

For 6 months since the eruption in September 2013, thousands of peoples in my hometown in Highlands Karo, North Sumatera, Indonesia are suffered and homeless, because of the continued eruptions of Mount Sinabung. The hot ashes continued to cover and damage the houses, farms and cattle. People lost almost everything! Many parts under the mountain slopes were burnt and turned into a desert of mud!
In the last two weeks, everyday ash plumes rose as high as 5 km, coupled with pyroclastic flows, stones and earthquakes!
For 6 months since the first eruption of Mount Sinabung in September 2013, 30 times eruptions occurred, and yet almost no attention at all from the insensitive and inconsiderate government and leaders!!!
They are all too busy with their interest for the coming general election and presidential election!

They said the Karonese people are rich because they grow vegetables and fruits; they have lands, houses and cars. However, they are just peasants. When they lost their grounds, their houses, their plantations and cattle because of the natural disasters that hits their villages, they truly have nothing left except hopes to survive for a living!!!

Ahh…love to be here neneng…..but it left me a little bit surprising that we still have some dragons living in the whole world. I hope the government would take some initiatives to prevent them from extinction…

  20. Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
